The material of the wire current-carrying core determines its purpose. In the case of KENVL products, this is a fecral or nichrome strip, the main purpose of which is a heater. The product has a shell (insulation), which allows to protect the core from the negative effects of the operating environment on the one side, and to protect the service personnel from damage caused by electricity on the other side. These facts make it possible to use the product even in domestic conditions.
In the company Metotechnics you can buy a high temperature strip heating wire. To do this, just call the phone, send a request by email, or make an order via the website on the page with the price list.
More information about production methods and application areas of the described products is provided on the appropriate sections of this page.
Application area
The products are intended for use as a heating element for heating cylinders and heads of plastic extruders, molding machines, molten bitumen pipelines, in drying cabinets and many other multipurpose installations. The installation method is fixed. Due to the fact that the cable insulation is not moisture-resistant, it is not allowed to supply operating voltage to it in wet rooms without first removing moisture or condensate from the heating element.
Design
The wire is a heater made of nichrome, stainless steel, or fecral strip.A two-layer insulation based on heat-resistant filaments made of glass fiber, silica or quartz fiber is applied by the method of entire braiding over the heater.

Conditional designation
High temperature flat electric heating cable:
KENVL NH 600-0,1
KENVL - product name;
NH (nichrome) - core material;
600 - maximum operating temperature, °C;
0.1- diametrical thickness of the core, mm.
Technical parameters
Heating strip sizes: thickness from 0.09 to 0.2 mm; width from 2 to 16 mm.
Diametrical thickness of the insulation: ≥ 1 mm.
Insulation breakdown voltage: ≥ 1250 V.
The full list of the product technical parameters is provided in the standard technical conditions 4833-011-66158671-2013.
Operating conditions
The minimum bending radius when winding on the rod must no less than 20 thicknesses of the cable itself.
It is not allowed to use a wire wound in two or more layers to avoid overheating.
The installation method is fixed.
It is not allowed to store, install, or use KENVL at a relative humidity of more than 80%.
When the cable is switched on for the first time, smoke may be emitted because of the burnout of the technological lubricant used in the process of production the component elements of the cable.
Supply options
On customer request and in agreement with the producer, it is possible to produce a wire impregnated with organosilicon varnish for use in wet rooms with a heating temperature of no more than 500 °C. The minimum length of the delivered wire is 200 m.
